Over the years we have been invited to view the visions of what other people perceive aliens to look like.  From Steven Spielberg’s E.T, to this, some advanced looking sea crustaceans. District 9, directed by Neill Blomkamp and starring Sharlto Copley, was a great mix of visual effects and sound effects.  It carried a great plot and shows how desperate and to what extreme someone will go to get back normality in their life.

With interaction of aliens, gangs and military police this movie provides a great experience of escapism.  The fight not just for survival, but also, to stay human, is all captured in this great Sci-Fi film.  It does have somewhat of a somber undertone to the film but from Chester’s mouth “rent it”, it’s worth the watch.
